NEET Admit Card 2020 can be downloaded by the students soon for the upcoming exam. The authorities of NTA NEET have announced on their official website that the admit card will be made available by the second week of July 2020. The aspiring candidates who were supposed to sit for the NEET 2020 exam can download the NEET Admit Card from the official website of NEET after it has been released.
NEET 2020 Admit Card
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, better known as NEET is an entrance test for students who wish to get admission in the best colleges across India for an undergraduate program in dental and medical courses. Every year a huge number of students apply for the entrance test so that they can get admission to their dream college and they can walk towards their aim of becoming a medical expert.
Candidates applying for the entrance test have to prepare in the subjects Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. It is a 3 hours test and is conducted in a number of languages.
This year also a huge number of students have applied for the entrance test. Last year, the number of applicants who registered for the exam was 15, 19,375. This year the number of students registered for the test is even more at 15, 93,452.
NEET 2020 Admit Card was initially about to be released on 27th March 2020. But with the current pandemic situation prevailing in the country and the number of exams getting postponed, the NEET 2020 exam was also postponed till any further notice is announced.
Recently, as per a circular released by NEET, the NEET 2020 Admit Card should be released in the second week of July 2020 as the exam should be conducted in the 4th week of July 2020.
NEET 2020 Admit Card Date
All the candidates who have got registered for the NEET 2020 Exam are waiting for the NEET Admit Card so that they can sit for the exam. Earlier, it was announced that the NEET Admit Card will be released on 27th March 2020 as the NEET 2020 Exam was about to be conducted on 3rd May 2020.
But soon on 27th March 2020, only notice was released on the official website of NEET declaring that the entrance exam has been postponed due to the extraordinary situation of the country. The notice mentioned that the dates will be released soon depending upon the situation of the country.
Soon, another circular was released mentioning that the NEET 2020 Exam will be conducted in July 2020. Hence, it is estimated that the NEET Admit Card should be also released in the month of July 2020.
As per the current notice, the entrance exam will be held by the last week of July 2020. Usually, the NEET Admit Card is released 15 days prior to the exam. So, it can be estimated that the admit cards will be released by the 2nd week of July 2020.
NEET 2020 Exam Date and Timing
NEET 2020 Exam was scheduled to take place on 3rd May 2020 for which the candidates were waiting for the admit cards to get released on 27th March 2020. But instead of the admit card release, NEET released a circular on 27th March 2020 mentioning that the NEET 2020 Exam that was supposed to be conducted on 3rd May 2020 has been postponed. In this circular, NEET mentioned that the date of the entrance exam has been postponed depending upon the situation of the coronavirus cases in the country.
It was again on 22nd May 2020 that another circular was released on the official website of NEET. As per this circular, the exam that was postponed from 3rd May 2020 is scheduled again for 26th July 2020.
As per this notice, the exam conducting on 26th June 2020 will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM.
Also, the circular mentioned that the candidates will be able to download the admit cards 15 days prior to the scheduled exam date. So, keeping that in a note, the applicants can expect the release of the NEET 2020 Admit Card to be on 11th July 2020 if everything goes well.
Apart from the shift in exam date and admit card release date, NEET also reopened a special window for making corrections on the NEET application. The authorities released a circular on 15th July 2020 mentioning that the candidates who faced difficulty in filling up the application form due to the current reasons can make the necessary corrections in the application form till 20th July 2020.

How to Download NEET Admit Card 2020?
It is mandatory to carry NEET Admit Card in the exam center for the exam. The admit card will have a number of important details mentioned on it such as name, registration and roll of the candidate, birth date, gender, category, parent’s name, exam date and time, exam center address, language for the exam, and the signature of the candidate.
Once the admit card is released, the candidates need to download it from the official website of NEET only. Here are the steps that can help you in getting the NEET 2020 Admit Card download.
Step – 1 – Candidates first need to visit the official website at https://ntaneet.nic.in.
Step – 2 – On the homepage, the candidates can see the link for NEET admit card 2020 when it is released by the authorities.
Step – 3 – After clicking on the link for NEET admit card, you will get a page where you need to fill in the details such as application number, birth date, and security pin.
Step – 4 – Click on the Submit button and the admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Step – 5 – Check carefully the details and then download it to take a print of it.
Retrieving NEET Application Number
The application number is needed to download NEET Admit Card. If you have somehow forgotten the Application Number, there is no need to panic as you can retrieve it with these steps soon.
Step – 1 – Visit the official website at https://ntaneet.nic.in.
Step – 2 – Search for the link Find Application Number and click on it.
Step – 3 – As the page appears, you need to fill in the form with important details such as your name, your parent’s name, birth date, security pin on the screen, and others.
Step – 4 – Now click on the Submit option.
Step – 5 – Soon, the application number will appear on your registered contact number.
Step – 6 – Now save this number so that you do not lose it the next time.
Retrieving Registration Number
Similar to the application number, the registration number can be also retrieved from the official website of NEET.
Step – 1 – As you visit the official website at https://ntaneet.nic.in, you can see the option of Forgot Registration Number on the Left Tab.
Step – 2 – Click on this and a page will come up where you need to put up your details such as your name, parent’s name, and others.
Step – 3 – After putting the security pin, you need to click on the Submit button.
Step – 4 – The registration number will get displayed on the screen that you need to save somewhere safe.
NEET Exam Pattern
It is very important to understand the NEET Exam pattern so that you can prepare for the exam even better. If you have not yet checked through the exam pattern, you still have some time in and now to go through it and do some revision and practice as per it.
- It is an offline mode of examination where the candidates need to make use of paper and pen to answer the Multiple Choice Questions.
- The syllabus for the exam mainly covers Chemistry, Physics, and Biology of Class 11 and Class 12 under the NCERT curriculum.
- The NEET question paper is available in 11 different languages and these are Hindi, English, Assamese, Kannada, Gujarati, Urdu, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Oriya, and Tamil.
- There are a total of 180 questions among which 45 questions are equally distributed to the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.
- The total marks for the question paper are 720.
- A correct answer will fetch you 4 marks while a wrong answer will deduct 1 mark. Hence, candidates should answer only when they are sure about a question.
- The exam goes on for a time period of 3 hours.
Important Instructions for NEET 2020 Candidates
It is important that the candidates should keep in mind some of the important instructions while going for the NEET 2020 Exams. Though some of the major instructions are mentioned in the NEET 2020 Admit Card, here are some of the instructions mentioned for your convenience.
- Apart from the NEET Admit Card, it is also important to carry a passport-sized photograph and a proper Identity card for the exam. You can carry Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Passport, Driving License, or something similar to carry as an Identity Card.
- NTA also sends the soft copy of the NEET Admit Card in your registered email address.
- You should make sure that the admit card is signed by a proper guardian.
- It is mandatory to write the exam only with a ballpoint pen of black or blue color.
- Candidates are not allowed to carry any kind of electronic device in the exam hall.
- It is advised that you should reach at least 45 minutes to 1 hour before the start of the exam.
- The candidate should make sure to answer any question only if they are sure of it. Not answering a question is better than answering it wrong because answering a question will also lead to a deduction of 1 mark.
- Also, marking more than one answer will also lead to negative marking for that particular question.
Important News for NEET 2020 Exam
Recently, the exams of CBSE and ICSE Boards have been canceled that were supposed to take place in the months of February and March, keeping in mind the health safety of the candidates. The results of CBSE Class 10th and Class 12th of these Boards will now be evaluated based on the internal assignments and other semester exams. It is expected that the results will be announced by 15th July 2020.
Similarly, the Parents Association of India has addressed a letter to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, stating 16 points that why NEET 2020 Exam should be also postponed further.
Also, on the other hand, the Government has mentioned that all the schools and colleges will remain closed till the 31st of July 2020. In such a situation, it still may happen that the NEET exam date may get postponed. In contrary to this, NEET has released a circular on its official website also on 17th June 2020 stating that any postponement of the NEET 2020 Exam as of now is Fake. But also it has advised the candidates and the parents to check through the official website of NTA NEET from time to time to get the latest updated.
