NIELIT A Level Course 2020 – A level course is an advanced version of a Diploma in Computer Science. It is awarded to the students with a view to enhance their skills and techniques in computers. It is the second level course offered by NIELIT and comes after the O Level. The course curriculum is structured under NIELIT (DOEACC Society).

The students are allowed to enter for this course based on specified eligibility criteria. Furthermore, the certificate will be awarded in the name of NIELIT. To know about the admission notice about A Level Course, the candidates are suggested to have a look at the daily newspapers. The organization will issue the notice one month before the course commencement.

A Level Course Eligibility Criteria

The students who are coming from institutes must hold

  • Polytechnic Engineering Diploma after 10th or 10+ 2 from a Level O/ government recognized university
  • 10th passing certificate

The students who are direct applicants must hold

  • Polytechnic Engineering Diploma from Government recognized university/Level O.
  • Relevant job experience if any

Duration of the Course

The duration of the A Level Course is one and a half years, and it will be conducted in the semester system.

Selection Process of A Level Course

The selection procedure is open for 20 seats in the one-course session, and it will be conducted on the entrance test. Once the candidate has qualified the entrance examination, they will be allotted the respective seats. The course consists of five semesters, including project work.

A Level Course Syllabus

The syllabus of A level Course is not as huge as it has eight modules (compulsory) and two elective papers only. In case, if new subjects or modules are added, the same will be informed to the students in a prior note. To know about the syllabus in detail, the candidate can request both in-person and post at a price of 150 Rs. only.

Is writing the project work important?

The candidate will be allowed for the project work only if he or she has passed all the papers and semesters. Being an integral part of the A-Level Course, project work cannot be ignored. It needs to be submitted along with Rs 500/- demand draft on the name of the concerned official.

Grading Structure of A level Course

Coming over the results, it will be published on the official website of NIELIT in grade form. The grading system for this course is accordingly –

  • 85% and above will be allotted S grade
  • 75%-84% – A
  • 65%- 74% – B
  • 55% – 64% – C
  • 50% – 64% – D
  • Below – 50% will be considered as fail.

If the candidate has not attained the marks as per the expectations, then NIELIT allows them to opt for the Re-totalling of marks as well. For this, the candidate will be asked to furnish the required details and within the given time.
