Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourced or most popularly known as APCOS has announced job openings for different departments currently. Candidates who are interested in getting an outsourced job option under Andhra Pradesh Government now have a fair chance to get into one. The APCOS platform is not just offering jobs but also is offering it without any kind of corruption involved.
APCOS – An Overview
Andhra Pradesh Government lately has started a new system under which the candidates will be directly outsourced for any Government projects and activities.
Earlier, many middlemen were there to help the candidates get Government tenders for work. In this system, these middlemen used to charge money from these candidates to get the Government project. Also, the outsourced candidates used to get a deducted salary each month as the middlemen used to get a cut off commission each month as a form of corruption.
The Government has come up with APCOS to detox the system from such corruption and to offer the citizens with healthy environment of job options.
The Government will post the vacancies of different jobs and services on the new portal on which the candidates can directly apply. The perks are a good salary without paying anything to the middlemen.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the CM of Andhra Pradesh started this portal with the vision of transparency. Apart from the direct job applications, the system will also ensure support to the backward classes. Candidates from backward classes such as SC or ST or women candidates will enjoy a reservation of 50% over the job opportunities offered. Along with a handsome salary, APCOS will be also offering other beneficial facilities to the candidates such as ESI, PF, and others.
Type of Jobs and Vacancies
There are three categories of job options in APCOS depending upon the salary profile of candidates.
- Category 1 has the highest paying job options such as senior accountant, translator, senior steno, and data processing officer.
- Category 2 has job options with mid level salary options such as typist, electrician, photographer, supervisor, driver, storekeeper, and similar others.
- The job options in Category 3 have the lowest salary profile and these are of defender, cook, watchman, and similar others.
As per the sources, there are as many as 472392 positions available currently for which the AP Government will now appoint the rightful candidates. There are 643 vacancies for the position of secretariat departments, 10707 vacancies for departmental heads, and 36042 vacancies for district collectors.
Candidates have to register with the APCOS portal to apply for the job openings and can expect the letters from the respective ministers of the State.
Who is Eligible for APCOS?
After you have gone through all the details about APCOS, the most important thing that you need to take care of is to know the eligibility criteria of the candidates.
- Age Limit:
Any candidate who is willing to apply for APCOS has to be within the age limit of 18 years to 40 years.
- Education Qualification:
There are different educational qualifications required for different positions. The minimum requirement will be of 10th pass. The certification of 10th, 12th, Graduation, or Degree should be from a reputed University of the State.
- Other Qualifications:
Apart from the age and educational qualifications, there are other qualifications to follow also. The candidate should be a native of Andhra Pradesh itself. Also, the candidate should be ready to work on contractual basis.
How to Register in APCOS?
If you are determined enough to get registered in APCOS for the various job opportunities available, here are the steps to follow. Before you start the registration process, make sure that you have the important documents ready in a scanned format with you. You should have all the educational documents such as the mark sheet of Class 10, Class 12, Graduation, or Master’s Degree. Apart from the educational certifications, you should also make sure keep your caste certificate to avail the benefits of 50% reservation in the job option. At last, it is mandatory to have the Aadhar Card because the authorities scan your profile with the help of the Aadhar Card details itself before proceeding onto the next selection procedure.
Step – 1 – First you need to open the portal by clicking on to apcos.apcfss.in or apcos.ap.gov.in.
Step – 2 – On the homepage, you will get the option for Candidate Registration on which you have to click.
Step – 3 – There will be an option to provide your Aadhar Card, where you have to input the Aadhar number after which you will get an OTP on the mobile number linked with your Aadhar.
Step – 4 – As you get the OTP in your mobile number, you have to enter it on the specified place on the portal.
Step – 5 – After verification through OTP, now a new page will be displayed, where you need to fill in with all the important details on the page.
Step – 6 – Now you have to upload all the important documents online such as your Class 10th till Graduation certifications, and others.
Step – 7 – After you have completed filling up all the details, you have to click on the candidate declaration and complete the registration process.
Make sure to cross-check all the details at least 2-3 times so that there is no such loop holes left. The selection process is based entirely on interview and hence the authorities scrutinize the details very strictly. Thus, you should make sure that you go through all the details that you have filled the online form and also cross-check the documents that you have uploaded. One of the easiest way is to name properly the scanned documents that you are about to upload so that you can cross-check the uploaded documents also.
After you have completed the registration process successfully, you will soon get a notification from APCOS.
Important Guidelines for APCOS
Before you register for APCOS, it is quite important that you know about some of the important guidelines. The forum will be working on a fixed set of guidelines to offer a proper amount of benefit to the candidates.
- The Corporation shall remove middlemen to eradicate corruption from outsourcing placements. It shall also offer 50% reservation to different backward classes and women. It shall also offer timely payment and benefits of PF and ESI to the candidates.
- The Government will migrate all the existing outsourced employees under APCOS along with the benefits of reservation, a proper salary, PF, and ESI.
- There will be an establishment of the district level committee that will take care of the migration of the candidates under the required reservation and other important guidelines.
- APCOS authority shall send the letter of Intimation of the candidates to the concerned organisation in a proper format. This format will contain the monthly remuneration along with the benefits such as ESI, and others.
APCOS Salary Details
One of the most important things that have to be noted is that of payment details. The candidates do not have to depend upon any middlemen for the payments now.
As soon as the Client Organization has made the payment, APCOS directly transfers the amount to the candidates in their bank accounts.
If talked about the salaries, the basic salary is between Rs. 12, 000 to Rs. 17, 500. The basic salary of each category is here.

Over the basic salary amount, other amenities are also added to get a good gross amount. Here are some of the examples.
The gross salary of a staff nurse is Rs. 34, 000/- while the gross salary amount of other positions such as a Pharmacist or a Lab Technician of Grade II is somewhere around Rs. 28, 000/-
Apart from the monthly remuneration, it also makes all the arrangements that are needed for the other benefits such as that of PF and ESI.
APCOS Selection Procedure
Candidates who will join in different departments and jobs of APCOS will have to go through these important selection procedures.
- The authorities of APCOS will first scan through different candidates who have applied for the jobs and will select the right ones for the interview.
- Candidates who will pass through the stage of interview will proceed to the next level that is document verification. Here, the candidates have to submit their documents that are educational certificates, and other important documents.
- Now, the candidates who have crossed successfully through the stage of document verification will be there in the next stage of job allotment. The rightful candidates will be allocated to different departments of APCOS.
